Infertility Treatment Costs

The staff of HRC understand that trying to get pregnant can be emotionally, physically, and financially stressful. This is why we make every effort to help patients cope. We provide infertility financing counseling for our couples as they progress through fertility treatment. Our goals is to make sure patients are fully informed about cost and therapy options.

Many insurance companies do not cover treatment for infertility. One of the most important steps patients can take is to obtain a copy of their actual insurance policy. Our counselors can closely review this information with you to legally maximize any benefits that are available. Some managed care providers cover many tests for infertility, and some treatments. This might include the diagnostic laparoscopy, which might also be done for treatment of conditions such as endometriosis.

Couples sometimes have the mistaken impression that they cannot afford the cost of infertility treatments. This is because the media usually reports on the most advanced, and expensive, treatments. The majority of patients will become pregnant using less expensive technologies such as intrauterine insemination (IUI) or through medical treatment of conditions such as ovulatory disorders. In vitro fertilization (IVF) is actually required by only a small percentage of patients.

Our physicians have written numerous in depth articles on the diagnosis and treatment of infertility. These articles can be accessed by selecting the topical link below. More information on these topics can be located by using our site search engine. LEARN MORE
