Meet Dr. Katherine VanHise

Dr. Katherine VanHise - HRC Fertility Beverly HillsHRC Fertility Beverly Hills is proud to welcome Katherine VanHise, MD to our group of award winning physicians.

Katherine VanHise, MD is an Obstetrician-Gynecologist and Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility (REI) specialist dedicated to delivering exceptional, compassionate care.

Dr. VanHise graduated summa cum laude from the University of Rochester with degrees in Biochemistry and Classics. She continued her education in her home state of Pennsylvania at Penn State College of Medicine where she was awarded a scholarship for her dedication to Women’s Health.

She moved to Los Angeles for her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, one of the nation’s top ranked hospitals. While at Cedars Sinai, she received several awards and accolades for her clinical research, surgical skills, quality improvement project and patient satisfaction. She was very fortunate to be offered a position outside of the match to stay at Cedars Sinai Medical Center to complete her REI fellowship training.

She has several first-author publications in prestigious Ob/Gyn and REI journals (such as Fertility and Sterility, and the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism) and has presented her research at several national meetings, including her work on improving racial disparities in polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

Inspired by her own experience as a lupus patient, Dr. VanHise has a strong professional interest in reproductive immunology. While in fellowship, she conducted translational basic science research on how differences in the immune system at birth may impact pregnancy outcomes and the development of immune disorders later in life.

Also guided by her own experiences as a patient, Dr. VanHise is deeply empathetic to the uncertainty patients may face and the challenges of navigating a diagnosis that is “unexplained”, such as in certain cases of infertility or recurrent pregnancy loss. She is a champion of empowering her patients to maintain hope and advocate for themselves. A strong believer in the mind-body connection, Dr. VanHise also integrates a holistic perspective into her practice, and is a registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance.

Dr. VanHise is honored to take part in your fertility and reproductive health journey. She is committed to supporting your goals and well-being every step of the way.
